Thing about Facebook that irritate me, what about you?

Alright, welcome to the complaint department please take a number and then a seat. We will call on you shortly to voice your own grievances about facebook.
Kidding aside, these are the things that irritate me about either facebook or facebook users.
Stop thanking the admins for accepting you to a group It just fills up peoples newsfeeds. Most of the time the admins aren't even so much as liking your "thank you" post. Yes, you are grateful they accepted you. Show your gratitude by contributing the community, not by saying "thank you". You aren't the only person in the group that's been accepted, move on.
Stop posting scams and saying "reply 'info' for more information." These are most prevalent on buy/sale/trade groups. Most people know better, but there are the few that think just because the post is about a big name corporation that it must be legitimate. It's not! Sure, those types of jobs are out there but they aren't going to be advertised on facebook.
Post things that are relevant to the group. Facebook groups aren't a therapy session, or a "free for all". I mean, I'm sure that there are actual groups out there like that, but the ones you are posting in ARE NOT IT.
Ok, so those are my petpeeves. What are yours?

I don't like being put into a group without my knowledge or permission. Just because someone knows my name does not make me interested in a group.
I don't like being told that I may know someone. Yeah, I do know them. I met them when they were kids. I don't have much to do with them. I am trying to trim my friend list and only add people I have something in common with. Some people I know and that is why I don't want to be FB friends.

@akalinus I think you can hit the *remove* button and it wont' show them as recommended anymore, but the damage has already been done.. You've had to be reminded of the scum of the earth.

I ignore the "people I may know" section because sometimes it shows people I'd rather forget.
I haven't had people put me in a group in a long time, but that was one of my pet peeves as well. I think most groups now have a notice that says "Do not add a person to this group without their permission."

@ScribbledAdNauseum I want to forget some of them too. I don't need an arsonist. thief, or con man in my life. Been there, done that, bought the shirt, moved on.

One of my pet peeves is when someone reposts EVERYTHING they see

Yeah, that irritates me too sometimes.
Or when someone goes through and re-shares about half of the things on your timeline.

All the scammers that are on that site..and the useless videos that pop up. I mean one or two are cute..I don't need to see certain types every day.

@ScribbledAdNauseum it just reminds you that you are being eavesdropped on, all the time online, and it doesn't seem to matter what your privacy settings are.

@snowy22315 It really doesn't. As long as they can market and use your shopping habits etc, they will. It's really sad and very invasive

Oh, I have an old friend whose Birthday was at the beginning of this month. She posted about five times that it was her Birthday. Like "Happy Birthday To Me" was legitimately one of her posts.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Who will not faint with the post.... "oh.. paper cut!, ouchies :,( " ....
About your friend, maybe she just like you to remember her birthday... and not to forget to buy a gift. hehe

I'm morally opposed to facebook. We had all we needed with the world wide web. Facebook is ruining the web. Why should we have to go to yet another portal to get the information we're looking for.
I won't use Facebook.

I don't think facebook is ruining the web. There are so many other social media sites out there that facebook can not take all of the blame. However, I do agree that it social media can, and has, contributed to an overall change (and not for the better) of the internet.

I often get invites to or recommendations for groups there that I would never have the slightest interest in joining, that's one of my biggest pet peeves w/the site over the last few years.

Invites are coming from your friends list though. I don't think groups can just randomly ask people to join. I used to get a few of those type things but most of my friends know not to ask me to oin things, I'll join when / if I want to.

Most of the Facebook users keep on still bringing up their issues in any groups they belong to. They already have their wall to do that. It's really annoying.

Oh yes, I've come across those people as well. I can understand if the group is dedicated to helping others, but don't bring up your personal stuff in a group about reading.

I scroll through Facebook daily to catch up on what friends and family are posting...but I don't really do much more than that. As the election season starts heating up I'll probably abandon it altogether since too many people are too quick to repost incendiary stuff.

I've already seen a lot of political stuff on facebook the past few months. I use it to catch up with friends but I also have groups that I am a part of. Book groups, history / picture groups etc.
I'm sure I'll end up seeing a lot of political stuff in these groups, but most of the groups are quick to delete that kind of stuff.
