I just read a post written by one of our mylot fellows and I don´t understand still why not only people but even countries have so mixed up genre, perversion, intimacy and other things that even include rape. If we care to watch the news, we will see that most of the crimes (specially sexual crimes) are inflicted by heterosexuals. Not that everyone of them is bad because of their sexual preference either. My very heterosexual husband was a wonderful man, but it had nothing to do with his genre and I was the only one who should have cared.
It seems that some people (and in some countries still) believe that all people that are not heterosexuals must be banned from public places and, most of all, from restrooms.
I don´t know how it is in other countries, but in my house all visitors go to the same bathroom, mine. I only asked them to go upstairs when I was in chemo because Leticia did not want any sort of extra "bugs". But now everyone goes to my bathroom, they close the door and that´s it.
Why would anyone need special laws to pee, for Goodness sake!
What to you think about this? Do you ask your friends for their gender before going to the restroom?

We often see men's rooms, ladies room and family or gender neutral/special needs bathrooms.
In a large men's room, I don't think a woman would feel comfortable. In a woman's bathroom...there are enough stalls that it shouldn't matter...
My question...why does a gay/ Trans gender or gender confused person need to state this at every opportunity.
I don't introduce myself with the words...hi, I'm Morley and I'm a heterosexual woman!

I wholly agree. I feel the same about many things. I AM heterosexual, I AM rather old, I have cancer (in remission, thanks be given). I am a lot of other things. I do know that I´m a person, a human being, that deserves respect.

I don´t understand that. English is not my native language. Isn´t it enough that some people dress like men and others as women?

I think the poster is confused about the difference between Gays, Lesbians and transgenders..whatever. it is not up to me to correct her.

I wrote about them in the same post because in the other post, the conversation was about banning them from public toilets, so to say. I´m aware of the differences. And I also understand that in sexuality, there are also grays. It is not only black and white.

At home... we don't have gender rules. But out in public they may.

Public restrooms here say 'women' or 'men'. Nothing else.
