It's a proud moment for all Indian. PV Sindhu, our badminton player has once again made country proud by becoming world Championship. Though I love this game, I have not been following it for quite some time. My husband, a sports crazy person is too elated for the victory. Sindhu is a youth icon and has brought accolades in past too including silver medal at Olympics. So the day ends with a great news. On the other side, India is still mourning for the loss of a tall leader Arun Jaitley. So much symbolic that life goes on with ups and down, with sorrow and happiness. I will call it a day. Done with packing for my husband. Need to catch up sleep. I need to wake up at 4 AM to say bye to him. Could not be much here due to other engagements. The Sunday went well and I am looking forward to a great working week. Hope the same for all mylotters here. Will catch up with you later. Good night Thanks for dropping by.

Badminton is played in Australia but I don't think it is a high profile sport.

It's picking up in India in recent times as more and more such young players are bringing glories on International platform. Now they are getting support of government and public too. Earlier it was not so. Now many youth are getting inspired and taking up sports other than cricket. Our nation is crazy about Cricket.

@JudyEv They are not fans but fanatics when it comes to cricket. Cricket is like national religion here.

It was not so popular here too but with few athletes performing well on international platform, the sports is picking up here. Many youths are taking it up. Otherwise ours is a cricket crazy country.
