My first day of classes is today / myLot

We started school last week. That is, teachers started with meetings. Last Wed. we had orientation for new kids. Thurs. we had half day orientation for middle and high school and Friday we had a full day for middle and high school and half day for elementary. My first two classes where I teach, rather than accompany, are today, due to our A/B schedule of only having four classes per day in middle and high school. I teach all elementary and middle school choir. Looks like I will be getting busy. Actually I'm looking forward to it, because I love teaching. I love meeting and helping kids and making music with them! So here goes! Talk to you later!

@petatonicsca I can understand that having a challenge or two among the kids wouldn't be a bad thing necessarily.

@JudyEv I've taught a lot of kids to sing so I actually know how to do it. So today I diverged from the original lesson plan and did a bit on head voice versus chest voice, how to find head voice and how to use it when singing. Next step will be echo singing minor thirds, the easiest interval to sing. (think "yoo-hoo")

So far I have had three new kids who mumble low. I look forward to working with them. One of them signed up for choir.
