I watched a film earlier about a musician who was kidnapped by an obsessed fan. I took it as a commentary on the dark side of fame. When a person is well known, putting themselves out there for "mass consumption" as it were, they never know who may be in the crowds or whatever. I heard about one musician in real life who was gunned down right on stage at a gig in cold blood. Everything that glitters isn't always gold.

What about John Lennon? Another pointless murder.

You are right about that. That is why people have body guards, probably far more than we ever see. People can be really crazy when they get obsessed over something.

I have always said I would like to be rich but not famous. There are crazy people out there that you never know what they might do. I also like my privacy so I wouldn't want a bunch of people all in my business.
