Finding the Needle in the Haystack

Sorry about my absence but it has not been so long. On Friday someone asked me if they could see some of the first things I ever published. I said sure I know I have saved up most of my work and I started writing online about 2002. However, I told them they could have a look but if they wanted to publish I would have to rework and rewrite the articles. So not expecting it to be a problem I decided to try to search through my PC on Friday. By Saturday I was wondering if I still had the articles but was sure I should because I also had some very old poetry which I would not even consider to be very good right now. I keep it as inspiration when I need new ideas for poetry. Then I remembered a back-up disc I had in Latvia. I am not technical at all when it comes to the PC but I figured plug the thing in and see the files. My PC had other ideas it was incompatible this and incompatible that and put itself on safe mode and all sorts of exciting things to get me angry. After me and the PC exchanged some not so loving words I sent downstairs to find my friend’s husband Nick who is the one that keeps my PC going. So what I thought was a simple thing to do and would take perhaps 2 days the most turned into about 4 days while he went through the PC and got it all figured out again. Anyway, all’s well that ends well. I found the necessary files or needles in the haystack or PC and my PC got itself all ready to go and keep going for a long time. Now I have the job of catching up so that I can begin September with a clean slate. What has been happening while I’ve been offline?

We've just been hanging out, discussing what we had to eat, what we did each day. I've been keeping everyone updated on what's going on with the other house and contractors and such. You've been missed, of course!

It's so annoying when you lose the internet. I guess you're much like I am and quite dependent on it.
