Do you have a person in your life who loves you unconditionally?

I had such a person in my life. She was my grandmother. She always said good words about me. She loved me unconditionally. She helped me in every way she could. But now I don't have such a person in my life. My parents love me, but if they help me they reproach me. If they give me something they make me feel bad. They love me only if I am as they want. Do you have a person in your life who loves you unconditionally?

It's surely my parents. They love me unconditionally. In specific, my dad has loads of affection on me.. Till date, he doesn't consider me as a grown up adult. I'm still his little daughter and he Pampers me like one.

@dya80dya Yeah. I'm lucky and that's what I feel so often. Just that, I'm not able to be with them. Nobody to blame and that's the marriage system. I get your point. Our career influences so much in our personal life and vice-versa. May be, your father showered affection in a different way?

This is so nice of him. You are lucky to have him in your life. My father worked in the army. He thinks we are his soldiers. He never pampered me, even if I was a small child. When I saw how different were other fathers with their daughters I cried. He never played with me. He is a cold man.

When I was young and did something bad and my parents were unhappy and felt bad and disciplined me but they continued to love me would that qualify as unconditional love?

Yes. If they continued to love you despite your mistakes it's unconditional love. My parents reproach me everything they do for me. They have to pay for my therapy or other things. They want me to have my own money, but now it's impossible. It would be possible if I wouldn't have an anxiety disorder.

@1hopefulman And no one is able to give me the love I need. This is why I love animals. They love us unconditionally.

You are lucky to have your son. It's good that he knows to love without conditions. Not many people love in this way.

Yes, and they're mostly of the age of the two kids shown in your photo. They know they're safe, and about to have fun (they don't know they're "learning"), when I'm there. Are those your kids? They look happy!

My grandparents were like that. And they were the greatest influence on my life as they were my main care takers during my growing up years. I miss them. But now it is my mother who is such a big emotional support to me. Moms are all like that. They give you the purest love.
