Update on the House 8/30/19

We now have three bids on replacing the roof. The lowest one is $3,000 less than the highest bid. 90% of the contractors I have picked from the BBB (Better Business Bureau) listings and have an A+ rating; and some are BBB Accredited. I called several places today to get estimates on getting the yard brush hogged. The original estimate we had from our regular company was way out of line. They wanted $388 to brush hog one acre!!! ... so I've been on a quest to find other places that will do it...not easy to find. We have a tentative guy set up to do the drywall for the ceilings and wall; but we have to also have someone to do the tear down of the wet drywall and insulation. I might try and find someone who will do both. The ad to sell the piano, desk and possibly a couch will run next Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will call our regular plumber to replace the faucet in the kitchen. I have a couple of people that are going to give us estimates to clean the gutters. If that doesn't help, we will need to have a partial excavation done to solve the water problem in the room off the garage. I think that's it for now! Doing any home repairs at your place?
