Why do strangers like to ask people they don’t know random things. On my Instagram I post ways to earn money online. Helping others that might need because there is lots of people that do. So I got this message at first it was asking who do you earn online. English of course not there first language which is totally fine. I was nice and kind responded respectfully back to the person. We end the conversation and they say we are friends. I don’t call 1 talk making us friends really but not wanting to be rude or mean I left with an okay. This afternoon I get have you eaten today. I answer back yes. They asked how old I was, what my name, and asking for my phone number. I responded to the question with a question of why do you want to know that. I get back because we are friends. My answer was simple and saying no we are not friends because we don’t know each other. Still wanting to answers of how old and if I was girl. I answer in around about way no saying my physically age just randomly I’m in my 30’s and yes I’m a female because of my screen name saying momma. Then after a short minute I get this inappropriate question of do I masturbate? (In my head WTF!!! Why the hell is this random person from god knows where asking about weather if masturbate or not? What makes this person think it’s okay to even remotely ask me this). I answer back “That’s not an appropriate question to ask someone your not close friends or family with.” They ask me why? Getting the feeling that I really don’t want to answer this question not that I’m shy about what happens in the bedroom but because I get this feeling they are trying to dig for something either sexually or just try to get me to give them information to steal information about me to get money. I don’t play these types of game I get irritated easily by this. So I tell them I’m ending the conversation blocking them, and deleting the message.

I have experienced something similar. I had a normal conversation with the person in the beginning, and all of a sudden the person made a very inappropriate comment which I am not going to repeat here. I blocked them immediately. I am usually quite good at figuring out what kind of person I am talking to, but this person surprised me (in a negative way) because it seemed like a normal conversation at first.

@ShyBear88 That sounds like the thing I experienced. We didn't talk about personal things before he made that comment. It was a normal conversation, that is the reason why it surprised me so much. I really didn't see it coming.

@ShyBear88 I agree. I am pretty open when I talk to close friends, but when a stranger asks that kind of questions it is not okay.

You will always find those who take the questions and statements too far on social media.

@psanasangma don’t be sorry it’s not your fault. Some people just don’t understand it’s not nice to ask question like that to someone they don’t know especially over social media when it is or isn’t okay to ask question like that.

@ShyBear88 Oh I am sorry for such acts by some Indian. I never chat with my own Indian people unless they are known to me. Though I am Indian as I came from Northeastern region of India we are somewhat less considered or not embraces as Indian by some Indian people. We have mongoloid looks so... our appearance is far different from them.

@ShyBear88 I mean limit the number of people who you talk with from random to just good ones......just a suggestion because there will be risk to bad if there's a liberty to all.

I work on Instagram getting extra referrals so a lot of people have questions about what sites or apps they are thinking about joining. So I always answer them. Like I said it was an first jsut asking about how I earn online then he came with that question out of no where and I did stop communication at that time.
