The Northern Lights

There is a chance the Northern Lights are going to be visible over the Dakotas, Montana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Maine and Idaho this Saturday(August 31) and Sunday (Sept.1). This 'storm' is created when there is a shift in the Earth's magnetosphere. It is sensitive to any deviated solar winds. This geomagnetic storm takes several hours of these winds to create the storm. Light pollution and weather will determine how clear the view is from your location.

How exciting. We saw them once over Lake Erie (Ohio) one night.

I saw there was a coronal hole on the sun turning toward us.
