Sniffing Around

I decided to bring Danie to the park today. It's her first time to visit the park in this place as I normally walk her only around the neighbourhood. There were no other dogs there, just Danie. There were a lot of young teenage couple on a date.
Danie didn't really run around the park. She's in heat and really not in the mood to. But she still enjoyed sniffing around and just walking and checking out the new environment. She loves going places and she misses that when it's raining. I had her wear her sanitary underwear for protection and of course her PawZ boots as the ground was still a bit wet and muddy.
Danie had a really good September first.

That's so funny, before I read your post, I looked at the photo and thought to myself, "Did she put a diaper on her dog?" LOL Of course, with her being in heat, I totally get why she is wearing that!

Hey Jeff! Yes I had to when she's out of the house and when she goes to bed with me. But during the day when she's just inside our home she doesn't wear a diaper. Danie couldn't pee and poop in her diaper and she doesn't do that in public too. So when we go for a walk she wears it. And I don't want her spoiling my bed sheets so had to put the diaper on her too.

@moffittjc Yes we don't want that and Danie emits this awful smell as well. But I really don't mind coz I love her.

@toniganzon That makes perfect sense. You certainly don't want a mess on your bed sheets!

@rakski I got Danie when she was a little more than 3 months old and I trained her on a leash immediately. What breed is Yogi?

Why does the dog have a sanitary underware ?
What doest it protect the dog from ?
Some dogs are sniffers, they can't take their nose above the ground. You better don't let the dog sniff too much on places because of other dogs were there and ticks can sense and wait in such places. The ticks first stage is so small, like an edge of a niddle. Easy for a dog to sniff the grass, were other dog went before, and get a tick.

First of all, no ticks or flea would land on Danie's coat. Why? Because I'm using a protection for her because she's a dog and it's normal for them to sniff around. So it's impossible for her to get a tick because I made sure of that.
It's in my discussion why she's wearing a diaper. She's in season.

@toniganzon first time ever that I read about a female dog who has a season. Now I got it, I didn't understand what season means, now I do.

I always have a good time when I'm with Danie. And seeing her happy at the park makes me happy as well.

She's cute sniffing around. I have been wanting to get Lily (my cat) a hardness so I could walk around different places.

@toniganzon sorry. I had two black cats, but one I think was either was stolen or something got him. Lily isn't as friendly so I don't think anyone will take her.

She wouldn't be so nice if she was owned by somebody else. She's lucky she is loved and spoiled by me. And she's lucky I can afford to give her what she truly deserves.

@LadyDuck My husband and I have this tradition that whoever greets each other merry Christmas first on the first of September will be the one who will receive a Christmas present in his or her own preference.

@toniganzon This time it was my husband who reminded to me that September had started.

Danie prefers the mall and oh no Danie doesn't love going anywhere. In fact there's this particular place she really wouldn't want to go. When I try to take her there, she would stop walking and would try to pull me away.

Poor Danie and glad there were not dogs around or you would have had a mob on your hands. Sounds like she had a good outing.

@Hannihar DAnie is a well behaved dog though and she is not in search of a male dog. These days she just stays inside the house and she hasn't tried to get out even though we have a male dog in our yard.

Yes they do. They're curios of everything. But once they're familiar with the place, they don't sniff around anymore.
