I blame my brother!

As much as I love my brother, he does give me quite a list of things he does that annoys me. And when in a bad mood I feel like that list is way longer. He has a good heart but at the same time he can be quite selfish and lack some common sense and common courtesy. Such as talking over me when I'm trying to talk. Not being a good owner to his dog. Not eating right. Not cleaning good enough. Not financially wise. I could go on and in more depth but But for this post I will say, something my brother does that shows lack of common sense and common courtesy is when he sneezes and coughs, he rarely covers his nose / mouth. I, a younger sister, has to remind him ( and sometimes through yelling ) to cover up when he does that! And I had to do it a lot last week as he actually does have a cold. I know that since we are living in the same house, there will always be a chance of me catching what he has but the fact that he doesn't even try to practice this when he is sick, sickens me! And it actually has made me sick! Saturday morning I woke up with a sore throat and I was thinking "aw no please let that just be thirst or something!" But Sunday morning, I woke with a headache, runny nose and just feeling off. Literally have a tissue shoved in my nose right now. I feel awful as yesterday ( Sunday ) was Father's Day. I didn't want to go out with my dad to see my Pop for the occasion as I didn't want to spread it. I did give my dad his present and he loved it very much! My recent post has a photo of it but basically it's a small coin collection representing the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing. Besides the worrying with my dad, I'm exhausted because my brother does a very loud cough every 20 - 30 seconds. Not even exaggerating! Not his fault. But it does keep me awake while he is awake. Which he has been having trouble sleeping himself due to it. So I can't even try to sleep while he is awake cause all I'll hear is coughing. ( my room is right near his ) I'm also annoyed with my brother because I worry my dad will catch a cold and he is the last person who needs this. He needs to be well to help keep his foot healing. Being sick will only slow down the process. I'm super tired and unwell but after I post this, I will being doing the dishes. I don't want my dad doing them. I want him to rest as much as possible and it's not like I can get my brother to do them. Every time he does the dishes, I rewash them cause like I said in my first paragraph, he isn't good at cleaning. He tries! Sometimes.... Anyway, so haven't really been on much during the day due to being sick. I will get to notifications eventually. ....wait I won't hug you in case I give you my cold!

I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling well, and may have caught your brother's cold. If you are sick with whatever your brother has, I hope you will get over it quickly. I don't care if you are sick, I want a hug!

@VivaLaDani13 I guess it’s better if you both get sick at once so you can get it out of the way and be done with it!

@moffittjc I agree actually. This is the second time I've been sick this year. I had bronchitis in January.

Hahahaha as far as the brother messing things up and acting as an irresponsible person is concerned, I think thats what makes family perfect. Its fun for us to watch our sister being so mature and annoyed with our little disturbance but yeah in this case he may have went a bit too far. He could cover his mouth atleast when father is trying to recover. He could however tease you in some other ways lol like him doing dishes and you have to redo it hahahahahaha....ok as long as the brother is caring and good hearted person...teasing is a spice in this relationship so I love it keep it up brother

@Loverabbit Well that's just the thing. My brother is kind hearted and has got emotions BUT he has done some very mean things towards me. And you, the joker, I can bet even you would be appalled by his behaviour. I love my brother and I know that siblings fight or tease etc but some of his words and actions have been unforgivable.

@Loverabbit It's difficult to explain. He is kind and caring but not always. He has said and done some pretty horrible things. It goes beyond brother - sister teasing really. As for the dishes, he doesn't do them properly because he just sucks at cleaning. Nothing to do with me. He just sucks at cleaning is all but it makes more work for me which I'm honestly sick of. I pretty much have to redo what he has done and it's annoying that he can't just do it right so there is less work for my dad and I.

@VivaLaDani13 oh ...ok I assuming that you said he is kind and caring....I thought thats just teasing and its fun thing with a sister...I didn't know the words or actions other than the dishes, which is sth I might do to make my sister scream at me and then do attend it sincerely afterwards

I'm sorry your brother doesn't practice common courtesy. I hope you get over it quickly and your dad doesn't catch a cold. Virtual hugs are okay.

I know it must be annoying. But as you said that he is trying. Just support his attitude. Not all are same and a good attitude and intention is what matters.

@andriaperry I understand what you mean. Not so much the chemo side of things but when my Uncle was sick with cancer, we didn't want anyone who was sick near him. ( he didn't do chemo ) Big hugs to you Andria!
