Straight Pride Parade

United States
September 3, 2019 4:58pm CST
Be you. Whoever you are. Never be afraid to be you. LGBTQ: "We're proud of who we are." Straight: "Good for you. We are too." LGBTQ: "Bigot! Racist! Homophobe! Nazi!" Eyebrows have been raised. Everyone should be proud of whomever they choose to be. If someone wants to have a parade to celebrate who they are, then who the hell are you to try and stop them? You being offended by someone being proud of who they are; were born and cannot help being is beyond stupid. "B-b-b-but straight people haven't been discriminated against. Are you serious? You literally just tried to get their parade stopped, stood on the sidelines, and shouted "You're not welcome here!" Along with a tirade of foul mouthed insults. Then applaud a media that mocks them. Even if there was literally no discrimination against straight people, who the hell are you to shame people for simply saying "I like who I am?" Equality means everyone can do what anyone can do. If you don't believe that, then you need to step down off of that soap box. Because you're a bigot.

I've often thought very similar things Unfortunately for some groups of people they can't be proud of who they are without getting abuse. Sections of the community such as gays and non whites were (and are) treated badly and it's good society doesn't tolerate this anymore but the pendulum has gone too far and now we have this white guilt thing and some academics saying all whites are unconsciously racist and stuff like that.. Imagine having a straight white pride march...people would go utterly bonkers

It amazes me that some people who make a big show of being so tolerant are the same ones who never allow anyone else to have a different opinion. And that's dangerous for our society.
