Watching "Ma"

I was talking earlier about getting an offer on vudu for signing up. A movie for 49 cents. Well, I picked out the movie "Ma"
I'm about an hour in and so far I am liking it.
Sue Ellen or "Ma" as the local teenagers call her is a middle aged woman who works for a veterinarian. She meets a group of teenagers while walking a dog. The teens ask her to buy them some alcohol, and she initially refuses. However, she ends up buying them alcohol not once, but several times. She offers them the use of her basement and everything seems cool at first..
I don't want to give too much away, but there was a twist I didn't see coming. Some of the movie is typical for the genre, but it doesn't distract from the plot at all.
I'm no good at these reviews. Balancing too much information with not enough, but I think that's all I've got to say. I still haven't finished the movie, but while I think it's going to end "typically", I don't think it will be all that bad

@ScribbledAdNauseum Hope you enjoy the ending of "Ma." I'm curious to know what you think about it when it's over.

Not too far away from the ending. Megs snuck out of the house to go to Sue Ellen's...

@VivaLaDani13 I thought that Ben's son might have had Sue Ellen there for a minute, but I got aggravated when she stabbed him. I'm glad that they didn't kill him off, there's still hope he survived it, but Ben himself... the poor guy. I mean, what he did to Sue Ellen wasn't nice, but Sue Ellen is crazy.
Poor Genie too.

There was another scene I didn't expect that just happened not too long ago...

@LadyDuck I guess they chose to write those things into the movie for the shock factor, but it didn't really need to be in the movie. There's another movie I want to watch, Greta, that is similar to Ma.

I thought it was an okay movie, though there were some parts I didn't like. Like when Sue Ann kissed the teenager, or when she had Ben in her room...

Thank you for the review. I am not really into movies like this but it does sound interesting but being a kind of horror film I don't think I would want to watch it. I do like horror films but the psychological kind sort of spook me.

This isn't as bad as some of the other psychological kinds, but I can understand your hesitance. Some of the psychological ones can be downright creepy.

I did enjoy it. There was maybe one or two scenes that I didn't like, but the rest of the movie was a good one.

@amitkokiladitya No, they were crude scenes.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I'm glad..what kind of scenes were they? High action and drama?

Did the end of the film end badly? I mean, the type of thriller movie?

It did and didn't end in the typical thriller fashion. I mean, it didn't end badly (not in my opinion) but it did end in a way that most thrillers do.

Doesn't sound like the kind of movie I would enjoy.

I wasn't sure that I would either, but it was a good movie. A couple of parts could have been left out, or not emphasized upon though.
