Saturday's Adventure

I meant to post this discussion last night but I got caught up in a football game. Go figure. LOL. Let's hear a Geaux Tigers

Since I got lucky with the hubby volunteering to do most of the errands yesterday, I only had to run to town and go to the dollar store. I hadn't been in over two weeks but did not need a lot of stuff.
I got what I needed and picked up a few munchies for our upcoming trip. Then I took some time to just browse and look around. Before I knew it I had been in the store for over 45 minutes and I knew my hubby would wonder where I was. I headed to the checkout line and sent a text message. When I got in the car I had a text message from him that I didn't see when I opened my phone. It said, "Where are you? Are you okay?" Yep, I knew I stayed in the store too long, but it was needed just to relax and unwind all by myself.
I managed to save $8.00 with my digital coupons. That was a nice savings.
What did you do yesterday? I'm sure you have a more exciting adventure than I did.

I worked in the morning, tailgated a little while in the afternoon, and then enjoyed watching the big games from the comfort of my home in the evening. Overall, it was a pretty good day.

@kareng I work half days every Friday, so I get a little taste of it each week! But I work half days on Fridays because I often have to go in on weekends and work for a little bit when we have events going on. Being a boss has its advantages, but it also has its disadvantages too. Especially since I'm a salaried employee and don't get anything extra for working additional hours. But overall I can't complain.

@wolfgirl569 I see goldenrods blooming here. Those things usually send me into allergy fits. I saw on a gardening group where some guy said you cannot be allergic to goldenrods. Wrong. I thought that was a really dumb statement.

I love the $5 off a $25 purchase. It isn't hard to do $25 these days. I find that the paper towels and toilet tissue are both there cheaper anyway so I stock up and take advantage of the coupons. It is something that will get used sooner or later. I'm already saving with a lower price and then I get the $5 off. Win.

when one's a caretaker, ya take those breaks where ya can. so glad ya got to do such, though 't caused a bit 'f worry there'n the home front. kudo's regardin' the savin's, too.
