What's for Dinner Tonight?

It has been a very nice and peaceful Sunday here today. We haven't done anything but rest and watch a bit of television.
It was hot but a beautiful sunny day here with crystal clear blue skies, just like yesterday and was a nice day for relaxing. And that is just what we did. After lunch we even got in a nap. I slept hard for at least an hour.
I still wasn't motivated to cook a nice and big sunday lunch or dinner. Tonight I browned up some ground meat and make sloppy joes. It was a fast meal to throw together, was hot and everyone was satistfied.
What did you have for dinner tonight?

@DocAndersen That's awesome. I love pita bread. My hubby used to say it was too tough, but I finally got him on board
Pita and hummus. Yum..

@kareng i love it! when the twins are out and about, my wife and I often have sloppy joes. I use pita instead of bread, I am not eating gluten.

Yum. I was thinking about some meatballs or bq mini sausages for football Saturday this past week but that didn't happen. I'm going to have to plan it better because I forgot to put the mini sausages on the grocery list for the hubby. And since it wasn't sweets, he didn't put it in the basket as an extra. LOL

@wolfgirl569 Yes, that is something else I haven't fixed in a long time. And that will be easy to turn into beef stew the following night.

I had a sandwich - eggs, ham and cheese.
My fiancé had tri-tip with rice, tomatoes, cucumbers.
Sloppy joes sounds delicious!

@infatuatedbby Wow, learned something new today. I've never heard that part of the cow mentioned. Very interesting.

@kareng apart of the cow
Definition from online
The tri-tip is a triangular cut of beef from the bottom sirloin subprimal cut, consisting of the tensor fasciae latae muscle. Untrimmed, the tri-tip weighs around 5 pounds. The cut was known in the United States as early as 1915, called "the triangle part" of the loin butt.

@LindaOHio It seems that when I get bad stuff I pay for it with packing on the weight. I"m moving very slow here these days. If not my knees it is my hip. This morning knee that has been hurting is okay and my hip is even better, but my back was not. I'm on ice this morning.

@kareng No, I'm not. That's the problem! I can't get around; so even if I eat light, it's hard for me to lose.
