A civil war cannonball washes up on SC beach

After Dorian came through, beachgoers came around to clean up the beach and see what might have washed up. None of them were expecting to find a Cannonball from the Civil War. Authorities were called and the cannonball was deemed safe.
What a cool find!
A couple in Folly Beach, SC located a Civil War-era cannonball that was revealed by the waves and rain brought on by Hurricane Dorian. According to reports, ...

It definitely does. Makes us realize how many years a thing can stay at the bottom of an ocean and not decompose.

Yes, I was pretty amazed at the cannon ball washing up like that. Driftwood, sea life, perhaps things from nearby homes, but a piece of war history showing up is pretty amazing.

I am sure that is where it is heade. Of course, I would personally want it to go home with me so I could own a piece of history.
