Lest we forget
110 buildings can fall
Like a child’s
Game of dominoes
When hatred
Takes control
And death and destruction
Sadly become
The name of a sick game.
Lest we forget
Hatred destroys
Buildings and lives
Without a care
Like it’s a sick
Twisted game.
Lest we forget
It only takes a light
To brighten up a room
Imagine if we used
Those lives
To light up
The world.
Lest we forget
The power of love
Over hate….

Great poetry. I could never forget since this happened in my hometown NYC. I was not there then but it was no the less horrifying and I had to get in touch with everyone I knew. Had I been there I would have been right in the midst of it all working not far from there.

@Michellekidwell I was already in Riga, Latvia but if I had stayed to work in NYC I worked but a couple of blocks from WTC Obviously, the Lord had other plans for me.

It was one of the worst and best days of my life. I was saddened and I had the opportunity to reach out to family members and tell them that their families were safe.

That's the gruesome reminiscence of twin towers fateful day. As what one of the myLot users wrote, God cried.
