Full Moon on Friday the 13th or Harvest Moon

Tomorrow, Friday, Sept 13, we will see a full moon. The last one was Friday the 13th was Oct. 13, 2000 Many people think this is unlucky happening on an unlucky day. Many stories tell of more crime, more disaster, and more crazy people doing weird things during a full moon. Others look at it as a harvest moon full of promise and the beginning of fall. This full moon will appear smaller than others because it is farthest away from the earth, its apogee. What do you think about Friday the 13th? Is it unlucky or just another day? What about full moons? Will the night be filled with crime, sirens, and extra babies being born? Or is it just another day. Do you have any Friday the 13th or full moon stories that you have heard about?

I hope that it isn't a bad luck day, I have a hair appointment, maybe I'll regret booking it on that day.

@Juliaacv I hope it all turns out great. I got my hair cut the other day. A lady comes to our park to cut hair when she needs money. Anyway, she was fussing with the front a lot. It turned out great but she forgot to finish doing the back so I got half a cut.

That is probably true, but I hear stories after Friday the 13th or after any full moon. Maybe it goes back to old legends that some people change into monsters when the moon is full.

@akalinus yes i got it now as here people think they become tiger and we had one movie for it too but i don't think anyone become monster.

@birjudanak I was thinking about the old werewolf stories which were scary when I was a kid. I never believed them, though.

I don't find it unlucky. My oldest was born on Friday the 13th in July. He was the first of 18 babies born that day and 36 that weekend. They ran out of baby cribs for them and nurses were holding and rocking them.

@just4him I could not hold him 24/7 so had to have a safe place to put him down. I put the drawer on a low table next to my bed so I could tend to him if he woke up during the night. We did get a proper crib for him in a few weeks.

They say that a lot of babies are born on Friday the 13th. That proves the point. I hope they found beds for babies. One of mine lived in a dresser drawer for a few weeks.

@akalinus To me Friday is just another day and 13 is an auspicious number.I remember when my brother was a class 8 student ,his roll number was 13.He cleared the exam in first class....The thirteenth day of the month is called "Trayodashi "in Sanskrit.And one of our greatest festivals.- MahaShivaratri "falls on this day.

@akalinus I don't think it is a lucky or an unlucky day for me.Many bad incidents also must have happened with me on Friday or on 13th of a month although I don't remember them.Friday is just another day and 13 is just another number.
