I have to give my special respect to Nampa Idaho Police Officer Selena Tlucek who works as a school resource officer at the East Valley Middle School along her K9 partner a mixed breed heeler named Huck. Huck was formerly named Bud who spent the majority of his time in an animal shelter in Utah before Selena adopted him from the Meridian Canine Rescue in 2018 after Huck spent one year at the shelter in Idaho. Selena asked her superiors at the Nampa police department to have Huck join the police force as a drug sniffing dog since there was a need to have a drug sniffing dog in the school region since it is apparent that illegal drugs are also a problem in the schools in that region. After the request by Selena to adopt Huck was granted, Huck was adopted by his new owner. After Huck passed all of the test required to join the police force, Huck became a K9 unit officer before the start of the 2018-19 school season. It is nice to see a dog that no one wanted to adopt due to his high energy level which turned off his potential owners has found a new line of work with the Nampa Police Department.

Good thing that his excess energy will be put into good use. I think this will make himself useful from the society that never wanted him as pet. Good thing that the police noticed him and saw his potential for the dog they needed at work.

It worked out wonderfully for Huck to join the police force in Idaho.

Aw I'm so glad Huck was adopted. It's such a miserable life in the dog shelters with no one to give the dogs the attention that they deserve. Huck will be so much happier now.

Being a K9 dog is the best way to enjoy his life outside of a kennel.

Some dogs really need a job of work to do to keep them content.

You have a good point there about a dog's life.

Doggies in shelters live a miserable lonely life. That's why more and more people should get encouraged to adopt those loving creatures from shelters, instead of buying fancy pets from breeders. These guys need families.
