They haven't fully solidified

Some of you will remember that I made a batch of Nag Champa wax melts yesterday (or was it the day before?). I picked one of the clamshell containers up earlier and noticed that one cube hasn't fully solidified. Another clamshell container has the same thing happening. Now, it should have solidified by now, and I am not sure why it hasn't. I did move the containers about a half hour after I poured them. I did this because where I had them would be in the way of everyone. I did this last time as well and did not have this happen to me. The smell hasn't been impacted by the non solidifying of all of the wax and so that is good. I guess if it doesn't solidify that is okay. I am the only one that's going to be using these, and I am still in the "learning process" of things. Just thought I'd share the weirdness. I might see if I can reach out to some handmade crafters online and find out why this might be occurring. While it is hot here, it's not overly so. It's not been too humid as far as I am aware either. [i]Wax Melts or Wax Tarts are essentially a flameless candle that is melted in a wax burner to release a scent.

I can not wait to use this scent, but I have to wait atleast a week. I'll probably wait 2.

@infatuatedbby Nag Champa. I am thining of getting more scents for wax melts, but also get some scents made for body stuff as well. I was thinking of making lotion bars.

Did you put the exact same amounts of each ingredient in? Maybe do a search online to see if you can find a trouble shooting issue with the same problem you are having.

@ScribbledAdNauseum it might be because with the scent and color it was to runny without the extra was.

@shaggin I didn't add any colorant. Just the scent, and that was only 1 ounce. It's supposed to be one ounce of scent per one lb of wax. I probably had a little less than one lb. 16 ounces is 1 lb and I think I had about 14 ounces.

Yeah, I plan to check on reddit and find some crafters that do these wax melts as part of their business. I put a little less wax than I did last time, but I just dont' see how that would make a difference.

Maybe it takes much more time?

I have used the same type of wax and same brand of fragrance oil as last time. I don't know why it hasn't fully solidified. I even used a little less wax than last time, but that shouldn't make a difference.

I made a whole bunch with molds my cousins gave me to use, I should take some pictures of them.

I want to get some molds and do some wax melts for Christmas for friends. I just haven't figured out which ones I want.

It is weird that some did not solidify if you used the same proportions as those that did.

The only thing that was different is the fragrance scent. The brand was the same. I did use a couple less ounces of wax, but I do not think that should matter.

@LadyDuck It could be. I looked today and it appears as if the cube of wax in question is partially solidified. It solidified on the bottom but part of the middle is not solidified. I would be more concerned if it was something I was gifting or selling. I still want to know what went wrong, but I don't see it as a loss since I won't be selling these.

@ScribbledAdNauseum May be that you needed a little more ounces of wax, the scent diluted too much and it does not get hard.

That's strange.

Yes, but I don't think it's going to make much difference atleast.
