Last friday the 13th!

I got so unlucky because the money that I intended to deposit in my account through the Cash Acceptance Machine (it's like an ATM but is used for deposit purposes and not withdrawal) was swallowed by the machine but was not credited to my account. 
The machine encountered a hardware error during the process and restarted. 
I immediately reported it to the teller and he logged it into their system and said that it will take 3-5 banking days for them to credit back the money I deposited. It was my first time experiencing this kind of situation. Later, I realized when my colleague told me that I got unlucky coz it's friday the 13th 
What's your experience last friday? Did you get lucky instead?

I am always nervous on Friday 13th. When she was alive my mum found the 12th and the 14th worse. Sorry that you can a difficult time with your bank and the money. Sometimes I have to use the banking machine that adds bank notes into my account. Often it doesn't work well for me. Even worse was a currency machine in London.

No, that's not true. It has nothing to do with the date. I had the experience but not on that date.

it's good the bank was still open at that time, but yes, it usually takes a few days. i'm glad you're only depositing it, not paying for something that's due.

That would scare the living daylights out of me. Here our ATMs function in both ways, and so long as the ATM is at your bank you can make withdrawals as well as deposits. Either way, I hope it does indeed get sorted out. Nothing weird happened to me this past Friday the 13th.

Just my regular routine on the friday the 13th. I am just glad no untoward incidents...
