There is always always something to be thankful for

I just saw a meme on Facebook that said that. It was a good reminder. I've been very sad, depressed, and miserable the past many months since my then-husband told me that he wanted a divorce and the divorce was finalized. I have felt hopeless, helpless, and alone. But now that I think about it I do have many things to be thankful for. My family and friends. The fact that I have a good job with job security and awesome medical benefits. My health isn't perfect but I don't have any dangerous disease. I can pay my bills at the end of each month. I have food in the fridge, freezer, and cabinets. I am strong from going to the gym regularly. It is good to remember these things. I spend so much time lately thinking about what I've lost that it is hard to remember what I DO have.
