International Eat an Apple Day

Today is International Eat an Apple Day. There are so many different types of apples in the world.
Some of the types available in NE Ohio are Fuji, Gala, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Jonagold, McIntosh, Pink Lady and Red Delicious.
Some other types are Alice, Arkansas Black, Bramley, Lobo, Pacific Rose, Stark Delicious, SugarBee and Summerred.
My favorites are Gala and McIntoh. I used to love Rome apples but have not been able to find them in years.
Do you like apples? What are your favorites?

I don't eat apples anymore as they are hard on my teeth.

Autumn is applesauce making time. We use an old hand cranking Foley food mill to make the sauce. There are eating apples and pie apples and sauce apples. Transparents make good applesauce and pie. So do Gravensteins. The farm that I grew up on, well partially grew up there, had some old apple trees. Dad was good at peeling apples. Can't forget apple crisp!!

Love them and ate far too many sometimes when I used to pick them back when I was 12 to make money for school clothes . Sometimes gave me a tummy ache

another day which i not know before and its good day because i like apple too. I not hear any special apple as here we only get kashmir apple and i eat them. Its really great to know about name of different apple.
