An hour left

I don't know why I am so excited.
Okay, I guess I do know why.
In an hour or so I will be going to my brother in law's house to feed my sister's dogs. They have gone on vacation and require me to feed them for the next several days. I will also be letting them out.
My sister usually pays me but she made no mention of it this time and I didn't ask. I thought it was rude to ask. Anyway, if she has paid me that will be extra money I can spend towards a few books at the bookstore.
Which will be my next stop. Well, after the bank... I am not going there to get any particular book, but I do want to sign up for the store credit giveaway (store credit aka gift voucher).
So yes, I am excited for that especially. Even if I am not a big fan of crowds

It would be nice if she paid you.
When we watched my fiancés sisters birds when she goes on vacation, she would pay us. But now we don't live in the area, so we don't watch the birds.

@infatuatedbby She texts me to dogsit about once a year around this time of year. So $100 for easy work. I fed them this evening and will continue to feed them twice a day until Wednesdsay where I'll feed them once.

She (or her ex husband, I'm not sure which) paid me $100.00 for feeding the dogs. She also provided $20.00 extra for gas which I gave to the one who is driving me.

I was good today and only spent $5.00, but I wholeheartedly agree with you. They can truly make a dent in the pocketbook.

@Telynor The only thing I use amazon for anymore is the free best sellers list for kindle. Ebay is where I buy books otherwise. There is a store or two there that usually has good deals, I use ebates (rakuten) for cashback and usually feel better about my purchase for that reason alone.

Amazon is equally treacherous. I have started to set a limit on how much I can spend, which I can pretty much stay with.

$100 of them to be exact.
I just got home not too long ago, had dinner and am now just relaxing. I bought a few books which I"ll probably write about a little later tonight.
My sis and I have never been close but she has always paid me when she's asked me to dogsit. I would do that for her even if we were bitter enemies but only for the sake of the dogs.

We also do that when we go on vacation during our early years in our town. We had to hire a person to feed the dogs in our home.

My sister always asks me. My best friend does the same, asking me to tend to her animals. The difference is that I stay at my best friend's house when she is out of town.

She did and I did have a good time. It was too busy for me to enjoy looking for books but I did find a few.

She did. I kind of expected her to. We've never had a close relationship but she is good about paying me when I tend to her dogs.
