I really shouldn't have laughed, and neither should you.

I'm sorry. I felt so bad that I laughed, but I also felt horrible for the guy.
We were out and this truck stopped in front of us to let a few people out. This older guy got out and a few seconds later his pants fell down. I instantly averted my head but I busted out laughing to.
The poor guy!
Honestly, I know how embarrassed he must have felt. If it was me, I wouldn't want anyone to react but I'd also hope that they got some enjoyment from my embarrassment.
I mean, if you can't laugh at yourself who can you laugh at?

Aww poor guy how far down did they fall?
One time when I was pregnant with my daughter I had on pants with a drawstring waistband. When I went to the bathroom and tightened them back up the drawstring thing broke and my pants fell to my feet. I held them up with my hands and went to the cashier and asked if she had something I could use to hold them up. She went to a rack where they sold safety pins and ripped it open and gave me one.

@ScribbledAdNauseum yes unfortunately sometimes things trigger out laughter and there’s nothing we can do.

That was really nice of the cashier.
All the way down I think. I averted my head as soon as they hit the pavement. I felt bad for him but I couldn't help but laugh

@shaggin I am reminded of a time that I was going down a slide in a park in Ohio. The slide was beside a set of stairs. I've never seen a slide beside a set of stairs in North Carolina, where I am from. In any case, I went down the slide at the insistence of friends. I knew that I would slide faster than them and i knew that I would most likely fall. I did fall and skint my knees. One friend busted out laughing while the other was worried.
I was laughing with the pain. It was a fun experience, and I honestly did it because I knew it would make one of them laugh

I hope he soon forgot about it. I do not believe anyone but myself and my uncle witnessed it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I try to hide my face and to move away without laughing when I see weird things happen, but sometimes it's really hard.

The poor guy! It was so comical though. He closed the door to the truck and bam! down went his pants. I was not expecting it.

@akalinus He did seem to recover somewhat quickly. Atleast he was standing tall with his head facing forward.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That is what makes it funny. It is unexpected. I hope the poor guy was able to gain his composure and move on quickly.

MY mother would have laughed. I don't know if I would have. That's just sad.

It was a gut reaction. I felt so bad for laughing, and I tried to stop. Atleast while the man was within view.

And when that man got home, he was probably telling others and laughing about it!

He was on his way into a restaurant and was with several people. One of them looked to be his wife. I told the person i was with that his wife probably said "Now Honey, I told you to cinch that belt a bit tighter, didn't I?"

@kobesbuddy He might have done just that. I don't think any of his family laughed but I wasn't looking either. Just from what I could see. It might be that it is a regular occurrence with him as well. Or they were all equally embarrassed.

The poor guy though! I imagine one of the ladies with him was his wife. I imagine she said something along the lines of "I told you to cinch that tighter!" or "I don't care if they are your favorite pair of shorts, you need some that fit better!"

I am sure he's probably forgotten about it by now. I guess he'll need to go home and make another whole to notch is belt.

If I were the guy I would have laughed at myself. Only way to handle embarrassing situations like that and you did nothing wrong. If a true man, will say glad made you smile even if at my expense.

There are times where I try not to laugh at the situation because it's rude but I can't help it sometimes. Maybe the man did not see you laugh?

I think he most likely did, but then I quickly turned my head and put a hand on one side of my face to cover my view of him.

Yes. I am sure he has forgotten about it already. I think we were the only ones to see his embarassment anyway.

Of course, being a Brit, the image of pants falling down is a lot more embarrassing than what really happened! I don't think my trousers have ever fallen down in public. I have caught my knickers in skirts before though. Or skirts in my knickers, I suppose!

I've had my pants fall down but it has been many, many, many years and I was mortified! It was in front of a boy that I liked.

Oh no, poor guy! My husband's pants ripped last week at the park and I felt so bad for him. It was so embarrassing and we left right away.
