Not sure when to do my hair for the Saturday wedding

The wedding we are going to is coming up this Saturday. The hair salon I usually go to to wash and blow out my hair takes an hour or slightly longer to get to by public transportation, depending on how long I have to wait for the bus. I usually go there Friday evening. I would rather do that than drag myself to the salon Saturday morning, especially because the temps will be in the 80s. However, I am worried that if I do it Friday it will get ruined after I wake up Saturday and maybe even more after I shower as it's probably going to get wet even with the shower cap on. There used to be a hair salon in a plaza by my house but it no longer exists...

I would go the night before and take Christina's suggestion. Good luck. Take a picture of you and hubs with you in your new dress and hairstyle!!!!! We'd love to see you!

I will probably do it the night before and keep my fingers crossed it will not get ruined 'cause I wont' be able to fix it myself and my mom will be on vacation so won't be able to help me.

I am not great with hair. I am certain you will figure it out and it will be perfect.

If it’s not a complicated hairstyle, you can do it on Friday then do a little retouch by Saturday on your own.

It will just be a blowout, though not sure if I wanna do what I usually do or make it wavy.

With this heat blow drying hair gets messed up. You can use a shower cap like you said

For some reason in the back the bottom tends to get wet even with the shower cap on.

@lovebuglena if you own a flat iron you can just fix it after. That is what i do.

@Ladanger I don't have one. Nor do I have a blow dryer either.

I have a big hair clip I use for the shower, my hair has a natural curl so it seems to work.

I never used big hair clips.

@CarolDM I may have to look into it. I put mine up in a ponytail and clip any hair that doesn't stay in the ponytail with small hairclips. And then I put on the shower cap. And the bottom still manages to get wet.

Unless it is a black-tie formal wedding I would just wear my normal hairdo, guests are not the center of attention so you should just relax and enjoy,

I think it is a black-time formal wedding but I could be wrong. I am not doing any updos. It will just be a blowout. I am not sure though if I wanna do wavy or keep it straight with some body.
