Has anyone ever been to this area - Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs or the surrounding area?
Doing some research on my upcoming short trip where I will be checking out Joshua Tree national Park and possibly making a couple stops at Mojave Desert.
I was attempting to Google what’d so special about Palm Springs. It looks pretty with the palm trees and many nice hotels and resorts, but I haven’t really found much that speaks to me. I will keep looking.
Have you ever been to this area? If so, what was your experience like?

No never been. Sounds so nice though. I go armchair traveling with American Pickers so this is how I see the mainland mostly.

To me its a nice area, well kept because of retired folks and tourists. I am not actually sure how Palm Springs became such a tourist attraction. Its just the desert like any other place, so think the well kept part is the reason. I can actually see Joshua Tree because of Joshua Tree's, they pretty funky looking and think young kids made that place famous. When I was in high school where all the rich kids would go to get drunk and party.
