National Bluebird of Happiness Day - I'm going to dedicate this day to CarolDM

1852 - The first airship powered by a steam engine travels 17 miles (27 km) from Paris to Trappes.
1929 - Jimmy Doolittle performs the first flight without a window, proving that full instrument flying from take off to landing is possible.
1936 - Jim Henson was born. He was an American puppeteer, filmmaker, inventor, cartoonist, animator, director, producer and screenwriter. He created the Muppets (1955-present) and Fraggle Rock (1983-87). He was famous for his characters of Kermit the Frog (see below), Rowlf the Dog and Ernie. He died in 1990.
1941 - Linda McCartney was born. She was an American photographer, singer and animal activist. She married Paul McCartney of the Beatles. After the Beatles broke up and Paul created Paul McCartney and Wings, Linda toured with the band, sang and played keyboard. She published several vegetarian cookbooks and founded Linda McCartney Foods along with her husband. She died in 1998.

Wish I had bluebirds in my yard. All I get are Blue jays and they can be noisy. Linda definitely was a better musician than Yoko Ono

She couldn't sing either though. I've heard recordings of Linda singing. We sing about the same.
