Hotter than all get out!

Last night we noticed that while the thermostat was set at 70, the temperature inside the house was 77. We hoped that it would fix itself but that did not happen. Today while it has been in the 80s outside it has only been about five degrees cooler inside.
We've called the Air man and he's coming in the morning.
Meanwhile, I have one fan sucking the hot air out of my room and another circulating the cool air in. I think my bedroom is the coolest part of the house right now, and that's saying something as it is usually the hottest.
I doubt I'll be covering myself with a blanket at all tonight.

OH lordy that is far too hot to feel comfortable in when the weather is hot! Hope you manage to cool it down a bit!

I think we are supposed to be down to 68 in temperatures over night. That's about 20 degrees Celsius. The aircon man will be here around 10 am to noon, and I am hoping it will not be too hot outside at that time.

@garymarsh6 We have blinds on all the windows and keep them shut. We only have curtains in one room. Hopefully it won't get too hot in the house overnight.

@ScribbledAdNauseum When the weather is very hot we tend to keep the curtains drawn so the heat does not enter the house. It is usually lovely and cool inside !

Lucky you. We would normally be enjoying the AC but the fan on the AC is broken or not working properly. That's our assumption anyway.

The temp is only supposed to be in the mid 70's over night. Inside it is 80 degrees right now.

I really wish he could come today but we did call late. Last year the guy came out the same day but that was to fix our heat.

I have my air conditioner and a small fan. The only bad part for me is that during winter the apartment barely has heat and i get mad that the landlord barely turns on the heat.

You can not turn the heat up yourself? I feel like it is illegal for a landlord to control the heat but I could be wrong.

@Ladanger I just think that's so wrong that they do that. Those heaters work okay but I think they drive up the cost of the electric.

@ScribbledAdNauseum i can't because they control the heat. I might have to buy a small heater.

I have two box fans that I have in my room because it stays the hottest in the house. I do not sleep comfortably if I am not cool.
I hope you were able to sleep alright without the AC on.

Glad young least have the fans going to help cool your room. Sleeping when it's too hot is miserable.

I can not sleep when it is too hot. I am honestly thinking about putting something cold in the bed with me to keep me cool.

Yes, but not by much. I would personally be opening the windows if it was up to me. However, it is not.
