When newbies "Love MyLot" so much but then disappear....

Perth, Australia
September 28, 2019 5:17am CST
I have seen this many times and it just makes me giggle. This isn't having a go at anyone or making fun of anyone. It's just an observation. There have been many times where a person will join MyLot, hang around for less than a day, do a post about how much they love this site, and not too long after, they just disappear. Where do these people go? Is someone here scaring them away? OR maybe the thought of this site got them super excited since it pays us but it's not the amount they were hoping for? Or maybe there are MyLot snatchers here!

They realize you actually have to WORK to make money on this site! LOL Or....JJ gets a hold of them and rips them to shreds!

@moffittjc He sure does! It's hilarious when what JJ is saying goes over their head. They don't understand his way of talking.

i have the same observation Dani. Maybe because they have realized how slow it is to earn on Mylot so they leave.

I have noticed, they love myLot, they are so happy that they do something wrong, their discussion gets deleted, they are upset and disappear.

It is rightly said that people join mylot but disappear after a few days, they think that they will become a millionaire in eight-ten days but it does not happen anywhere

@Starkinds lol I think some people think that way about MyLot too! There have been people before who have done a post asking if they can make hundreds of dollars a day here. Just not possible. So they leave.

I've noticed this as well. They'll be really happy and enjoy it for a little while, but then they're gone just like that. It's probably because it's maybe not exactly what they expected.

@VivaLaDani13 That's a good point. If it's not for them, then it's not for them. I wouldn't want anyone to be forced to stay, or be uncomfortable, or anything like that.

@akalinus oh I doubt it lol I've never seen you as mean or anything towards anyone! And I agree. I think the amount of money plays a major role on why people don't stay here.

@akalinus Such a beautiful thing to say! "We are a family." I agree. I love coming on here seeing all the familiar names / faces. There are quite a lot of people I haven't interacted with yet or had very little interaction with but I still feel safe and comfortable here.

I did that for a while, because I saw a lot of discrimination, both with members and administration. Got frustrated and left for a while. Came back briefly a few times, then left again. Finally... I decided not to put a lot of hope in this place. I now just post what I feel like, when I feel like it...and not expect anything. If something good comes from the post, then it is an added plus.

@teresatrotter Oh really?? I'm very sorry to know this. And sorry for that experience you had. A majority of people here are amazing but I know that there are some that cause some distress here.

@teresatrotter That makes me feel bad that you feel that way but at the same time, I still know exactly where you are coming from. I've had and still do have people who use me. They claim to be your friend but don't really ask how you're doing. They rather let you know they have a new post for you to answer. It does get a bit stressful when people view you as their money making minion rather than a friend. The money does personally help me and I admit it does get frustrating when I put time, effort and energy into answering people and not getting answers back. But the friends I have made here make me so much more happy than the money. I made a best friend here too. I do hope no more people bad mouth you or treat you negatively to the point you wish to leave. I'm sorry people have put you through that!

@VivaLaDani13 - Yeah... Thanks. This place does not really give you that much freedom. Sometimes the simplest thing will get your posts deleted. Nothing was really bad, just being nitpicky. Then I saw some members bad mouth me, so I blocked them from responding to any of my posts. I don't find loyalty much here. They are there for you as long as you earn them money, and if you don't...you never hear from them again.

Maybe they make a post so early to share a feeling, as soon as they seeing earning then they can't survive here. If not concentrate on earning then its lot of fun and news things they can enjoy but at last it's their choice which they want.

My perspective may be a little different. I think they hope and expect that someone will always respond to their posts and that often doesn't happen. If they feel invisible then that is a great reason to leave. I think most people don't have high expectations of $$ amounts. Of course, I could be completely off base.
