It takes me forever to pick something to watch

When I am with friends, I let them pick what they want to watch. If they ask me, it will just take too long for me to decide.
I can look through several catalogs of shows and movies and find several that look good. I usually have a reason I don't want to watch it. A lot of the times that reason is simply "not now."
Today I came across a movie on vudu that is free with ads. It looks good but I didn't click the "play movie" button. I might actually watch it in a few minutes, but I'm just not sure.
It's easier for me to pick a book than it is for me to pick a movie. However, even picking a book can take several days.
Are you as indecisive as I am?

It sounds like you find it a lot easier than I do. My mind is usually too occupied to concentrate on television, but I can concentrate on a book just fine.

@rakski Yeah, books are still difficult for me to pick out but not nearly as much as movies are. I like books because I can visualize what the writer is conveying, making it my own.
I don't watch the movie adaptations of books I've read for that reason. What about you?

Yes, I am very indecisive. Luckily, I logged into Hulu and saw a show I have been waiting for come back again this season called The Rookie.

Yeah, there are several shows that I somewhat like to follow. At the moment AHS is the show I follow the most. Sometimes I see a show I think I'd like but wait several season before I start watching it. Like "New Girl", I love that show but my friend said it was netflix about two years ago and I never bothered trying to watch it until I was at her house.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh I seen it but never continued watching it. There are some shows I have yet to finish or just stopped watching like Grey's Anatomy.

@infatuatedbby Yeah, I watched maybe two seasons of Grey's Anatomy and then stopped watching it. Same with Niptuck, I thought it would be a good show but got bored fast.

not with shows I'm not like that. But right now I'm struggling to figure out if I should listen to a book or wait until the book is available. The audiobook is available now.

I usually choose to wait for the book to be released but that is just me. I tried audible for awhile and ended up getting rid of it. Partially because of the price of the service and partially because the narrators often ruined the characters for me. Their voices werent' what I envisioned.

Yes, I scroll and scroll and scroll through the options. It's funny because when I am with friends I find that I am interested in what they pick.

I will literally go through several apps (Vudu, Roku, PopcornFlix etc) only to end up back on youtube and watching videos instead.

I don't have trouble picking tv shows to watch. My dvr has lots of recorded shows along with Netflix and Hulu. My problem is finding time to watch all the shows I love.
I think I have more trouble selecting a book to read and maybe that's because I have so many I never know which one to choose.

I have a lot of books too and can have trouble because of that. My mother and grandmother were both ladies who loved to watch the television but they also had a love of books that they had grown out of. I hope I never grow out of my love for books and I certainly dont want to sit in front of the tv as much as they did. You were sure to get yelled at if you bothered them during one of their shows.
We don't have a DVR here but I would like to get one. I would probably watch more if I had the option of a DVR because there are some shows I've watched whilst with others and liked.

If it is on the food networks, PBS or Smithsonian, then I'm watching it. During the day, it's mostly CNN as I wait for the next diaster from Washington to fall on our heads.

@Telynor It's why I prefer to pick and choose what I watch, even the news. There's just always something new that we either shake our heads over or that hurts our hearts.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I love the streaming services -- no commercials! But yeah, every morning there's some new misery up on the telly, and I start to wonder when the straw that breaks the camel's back is going to drop.

@JustBhem We have one tv that has 4k capabilities. I like to watch movies on that screen sometimes. I do not often go to the theater to see a new movie. I don't have the funds for it, and when I do, I don't want to pay the high price.
