I meant to post this yesterday, but the month is still young, so... Happy October, Everyone!
I'm excited that it's officially "Spooky Season".... even though I keep the spookiness a little mild myself lol. I mean, I watch horror movies, but nothing too violent or gory. Of course, I also watch the family-friendly stuff too, like Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas. I'm kind of a big kid lol.
My nieces have already started decorating for Halloween. Actually, they wanted to decorate by the end of September, but they had to unpack the Halloween decor.
As for October itself, I have a few fun events coming up this month, so I thought I'd share them with you all. :)
Oct. 19th: My Halloween party! :) I've already bought all the favors for the kids' goodie bags, as well as the table cloth and treat bowls. I'll pick up a few more things on payday this week (I'm getting a little at a time). I'm doing sort of a pumpkin theme, but I'm open to witches, ghosts, etc. as well. I'm super excited because we haven't had a Halloween party in a few years.
Oct. 26th.: BARCStober Fest. For those who don't know (as not everyone has been following me on here as long as others), this is a dog-themed festival (with a hint of cats), in which you can donate money to causes, buy treats/toys/supplies, receive freebies, meet other dogs (with owners' permission, of course), etc. My nieces and I have gone every year since like, 2013/2014, minus one year (as we had prior commitments). We don't take Dash and Bella because Dash is a barker and Bella gets scared. Doodles was fine with going last year though, so we may take her again this year. I always bring them all something back regardless.
There is a chance we're going back to the park later that afternoon/evening (in another part) to let the kiddos make paper lanterns for the Lantern Parade, which is a yearly thing that takes place on our street. Even if we don't walk the parade (anyone can join), we all like to watch it, and the kids enjoy showing off their lanterns. It's another yearly tradition in our neighborhood.
Oct. 31st: Halloween! I'll probably just work half the day, and then take the evening off. Since Halloween is on a Thursday, near the end of the week, I can focus on getting most of my work done Mon. through Wed. (or even Sun. through Wed.). I'm hoping the same crew (family and best friend with her son) will walk around with us again this year. :) We love Halloween in our family lol.
Oh, and I'm also hoping we can at least hit one pumpkin patch this season (I don't care if I make it to a haunted house or not this year).
And then it's November 1st.... Thanksgiving season, which is another holiday season I love. But that's another post for next month. :)
I'm gonna get back to my work. You all have a good day/evening, and take care. :)

Here's your friendly reminder to write them down. ;)
We're only taking Doodles, and that's up to my 15yr old niece, since she's really her dog (or well, she's Doodles' human lol). I think she wants to, or we'll put on her little pumpkin hoodie. She looks SO CUTE in it.

That's exactly what it is, and a lot of them will let you pet their dogs. :D One time, my niece and I were surrounded by little dogs, and it was the best. And yep, they do dress their dogs up. If you love, or own dogs, it's a great festival. It's free admission, you just pay for the stuff you wanna buy, and of course donations to different animal causes. :)
