Today was quiet

I woke up this morning in quite a bit of pain, so no art group. Grr. I did end up sleeping very late, and J agreed to take over the cooking duties for tonight, bless him. It will be leftovers, I suspect, as his culinary skills are not much, but he is learning. I can now trust him to set out mise-en-plas. Just now we had a flock of wild turkeys come strolling through the backyard, picking over the grass for any bugs and whatever they can find. They're not shy at all, coming right up to the house, and looking to be quite large. About five hens and two males. Trying to sort through my Mt. TBR, to find something to read.

Bending and standing making dinner last night did me in. That's usually what is causing it these days.

A flock of wild turkeys? That's interesting. I didn't know that there are wild turkeys.

Here in the NE US, we have flocks of them all over the place. They're not scared of people very much, and soon we will have hunting season for them.

That would have been fun seeing the turkeys.

They were quite calm, looking at us, looking at them. They were quite leisurely going about the yard, and came back through later on a second pass.

Usually relief from the pain is by staying down. I don't like that, as then nothing gets done!

Some days are good, other days are not quite so good. I can only take them as they come.

Do you have anything that you can take for the pain. I hope it goes away.
