Work was ended in 1941 when he passed away, his son took over the work and ran out of funds. 1937 - Jackie Collins was born. She was an English romance novelist. She wrote 32 novels, all of which appeared on the New York Times bestsellers list. She sold over 500 million copies. Her books have been translated into 40 languages; and 8 books were adapted for movies or television miniseries. She died in 2015. 1976 - Alicia Silverstone was born. She is an American actress. At the age of 16 she became a teen idol when she appeared in an Aerosmith music video, "Cryin'". Her film debut was in The Crush; but she is probably best known for her role in Clueless.
