Some laptop troubles made me late to mylot

Not that there is a set time to mylot, but I like to get up and get online.
It all started last night or well, no it actually didn't. It started a few days ago but it just locked up last night.
I was mylotting and the laptop froze. I didn't know how to unfreeze it so I cut it off and decided to keep it cut off for the rest of the night. I tried to get on it this morning but was unable and so I went to my tech guy. He booted up a newer beta version of the same OS and the laptop is working properly again.
We had some key issues.. as in the shift key but we got that figured out again.
I had some notifications last night and I have some this morning. I have a problem with the notfications disappearing on me but I will try to respond to all of them.

Yes, I was able to use the laptop again after he got it fixed. No issues with the keys now.

@JustBhem I'm sorry. Did you update the firmware on the computer? That's what was done for this one.

It's fine as usual. How's your handy friend? Is it working fine with you? No more problem on its key or keyboard?

It is completely fine now. We had to install a slightly different version of the operating system and the firmware fixed the problem of the keys.

@Nakitakona Correct. It is not a very old laptop anyway, but the new operating system makes it smooth to run.

@NJChicaa Ah okay. Schools down here are different. I think that the elementary and middle get out at 2:30 and then the high school at 3:30.

The shfit key and the track ball stopped working too but a firmware fixed that.

They are fixed now. I tried to get on the laptop at about 8:30 this morning and found that I was unable to do so. I took it to the tech guy and he got it fixed for me though it took about two hours to do. I am just glad he got it back to full functionality. The OS is the same but a different version and it has all the things I need / want so that is good.
