Altagarcia Baldera is one lady who has been through a rough spell in life after she had to move from her former apartment in North Andover Massachusetts last September after an explosion and fire forced her to live with her sister in Lawrence Massachusetts along with her four dogs. One of her dogs who is a 14 year old mixed Pekingese-Shin Tzu male named Virgo ran away from his new home in Lawrence when Altagarica's brother in law opened the door since Virgo was not used to living in a stranger's home. The good thing was that Altagarica contacted the local police and the MSPCA to report the loss of her dog. What happened to Virgo is not known where he went missing for one year other than maybe a stranger gave the dog some food and drink when he was wandering in the streets of Lawrence. Virgo was found on the street by a group of kids who contacted Animal Control to pick up Virgo and take him to an animal shelter. Despite the fact that the microchipped dog's address was not the former address of his owner, the Lawrence Animal Control contacted the MSPCA to find the address of his owner. Altagarcia was able to reunite with her pet after being away from home for one year. Virgo seems to be in good health despite his age and being away from his owner for one year which is remarkable.

That is remarkable that Virgo survived away from home at that age. I love a good dog story!

I agree with you that the children did the right thing to call the animal control center to inform them of the lost dog on the street.

That is true since a dog that is around Virgo's age usually passes away from old age.

The same thing goes with Burt the cat who knows where he lives since he likes to go outside for his walk around the neighborhood.

I agree with you since it is to see Virgo get a chance to live out the rest of his life with his owner in a new home.
