This issue of lending money usually causes breakup of friendship. So many had abused my generosity that I am now firm in my policy of not lending money. Yesterday I got a text from a long lost friend. When he said how am I doing, my reply was how much. He got the message and he admitted that he needed money. My reply was HU U. That means Who Are You. The end of communication.

I don't lend money. I may help them out depending on what they are asking for.

I don't lend money, I just give them money but a very much smaller amount than what they are borrowing, I tell them direct that " they may or may not give it back to me , no deadline, it's help but you need to get the rest of your lack somewhere else"

I don`t lend either. If someone needs something I may as well give because they are not paying me back.

There is a saying
“Neither a borrower nor a lender be; / For loan oft loses both itself and friend

Haha!! That can be a viral meme!! Thank God, I am out of that stage of being asked for money! It is very difficult to ask your own money from them!

Yeah most seem to only come around when they need something sadly.
