Eli's Parent Teacher Conference Went Well

Today we met with his teacher, Mr. Gill, and it went pretty well.
Mr. Gill had only nice things to say about Eli. He told us that Eli is well behaved, and very smart. His "score" does not show that...but not to be discouraged/disappointed.
I am very proud of Eli for being a good kid at school, paying attention, listening, doing what he is told, etc. I figured that it would be a good meeting because I knew he did pretty well in Pre-School and didn't think he had changed much behavior wise.
Just thought I would share how the PTC went :) And share an adorable photo from when he was a baby!

Congrats to Eli for getting a glowing report! Positive reinforcement can go a long way to ensuring the success of our kids in school!

Look at that happy face, Eli was such a beautiful baby! I'm glad to hear that Mr. Gill gave a good report, about Eli's behavior and his progress in Kindergarten. Children do their best, they blossom in the school system.

@MommyOfEli2013 I use to think that Kindergarten was basically just socializing with other children. They are actually learning a lot more, as his little mind is developing different skills. With numbers and letters being the most important, of all.

@kobesbuddy Well, Mr. Gill told us Kindergarten was mostly just teaching them how to be a student. However, they do learn their numbers and letters. Eli couldn't say his alphabet all the way through a month ago, now he knows it all. And now he can read what most letters are. They want them to be able to count to 100 by the end of the school year and Eli almost can, just needs a bit of help.

He always had a happy face, loved his little toothless smiles!
I am so glad too, and that Mr. Gill would love 12 more just like him! Some don't do too well in school, but I think Eli will....with how he is doing in Kindergarten!
