This is one song that always got me singing and dancing along “Dancing In the Dark” by Bruce Springsteen. The song was recorded in 1984 and was written by Springsteen. The song stayed on the Billboard charts for four weeks and more than one million singles were sold in the U.S. It was on this album Born in the USA. This became his biggest hit and the album became the best selling album of his career.

Fun song. Just so un-Springsteen like. Don't know if that was a good thing or not.....
I loved the Nebraska album, which was totally acoustic.

It was his cop out sell out song. His sales were flagging at the time and he was informed he needed a hit so he did this to revive his career.
The worst album of all time Nebraska? Your Clash fan club card has been revoked and Homer & Jethro have place you on suspension.

I'm remembering a dancing song but I'm not sure this is the one I'm remembering. I will have to check it out once I'm back home.
This is not the one I was thinking of. Although I heard it, it wasn't a favorite. Three one I was thinking it's yesterday was dancing in the ceiling although I've no clue who sang it.

What a coincidence! Last night we experienced one-hour brown out. Our three female grandkids practiced their "Kill the love" dance in the dark while I played the music using my smartphone. My 3rd elder daughter's phone flashlight served as the spotlight.

I see "Dancing in the Dark" and all I can think of is tjhe suave Fred Astaire and the beautiful never ending legs Cyd Charrise dancing to the song in Central Park in an old MGM movie!
