Hasn't He Been Impeached Yet?

It has been a normal and almost expected part of the inauguration practices for a new president to make public his tax returns for the last several years. I, personally, think that this is a part of showing the public he is a honorable man and one to be trusted. Trump has been finding every excuse possible for several years now not to show his tax returns. I, again personally, feel that this shows me without a doubt that he has something to hide.
Do you think that the president should gladly give up his tax returns to be examined by the public? Or, should that practice, which has been one since the 70's, go by the wayside?

I think politicians should work for minimum wage. They get enough perks of the office to manage on it, more so than their constituents, who don't.

I don't know what he has to hide. I'm torn if tax returns should be examined by the public.

I think it is just one more way to know we can believe in them and trust them. We need that now a days.

The only scenario where a Presidential Candidate should be able to omit a tax return would be if the candidate made less than $25K, and didn't file because he wasn't required to file a federal tax return.
There aren't many paupers who are considered serious Presidential candidates, but that's the only scenario I can imagine where no tax records could be acceptable.
Some states have been passing laws that would forbid a Presidential Candidate from appearing on their ballot, but that isn't holding up in court as far as Trump is concerned, because he's already in office. In subsequent races I think this is a valid remedy.
I'm still amazed there were that many American's stupid enough to vote for the fool. Says alot about our lacking public education system.
I honestly don't think Trump really won the election legitimately, I don't like the electoral college, But the reason I don't think he's legit is his help from the Russians.
I also believe, that our intelligence community believes the Russians swung the election for Trump. To the counter intelligence people. They probably allowed him to remain in office, so they could gather even more information on how his help worked, and to find way to mess with other countries polls.
If Moscow Mitch believed Trump won legitimately, he would be so opposed to funding state level election research on the situation.
I'm amazed it's taken so long to get this traitor out of office.
You can bet he's being paid under the table somehow, to send U.S. Troops to Saudi Arabia. He's making money for himself and his family, using tax payer funded military. There is no way, the Saudi's can reimburse America if any troops, or valuable, limited resources are lost in their defense.
Remember, 911 happened because Bin Laden, didn't like U.S. forces in Saudi in the first place.

It is taking an awful long time. They hate to do it and have to have real good reasons. I just feel that showing us his tax returns for the last eight years would show the public whether he is a good and honest man. Someone we would really want in office.

@celticeagle He's already proven he's not a good and honest man. Separating children from parents, then losing the records! Killing thousands of our good allieis the Kurds by making a deal with a crooked thug like, Turkeys prime miniter, Sucking up to Putin and Kim Jon Yong. In countless ways he's proven he's neither good nor honest.
But there are lots of really stupid people out there that just don't care.

You said several years? Elected public officials are required to file their income tax return every taxing period or else he will be charged against the law and meted penalties or imprisonment if found guilty.
