Saturday: LSU vs. Florida Day!

The big happening around Baton Rouge today is the LSU - Florida football game tonight. It will be a showdown between two very talented top teams. The game will be held at LSU. It will be a night game, and the fans are already in prime football mode. I went to Baton Rouge yesterday and also by my daughter's house. She lives on the outskirts of LSU. Can I say that the traffic was horrible. It was packed on the interstate also and I knew when driving TO my doctor's appointment, I did not want to travel BACK via the interstate. I was very happy I took another route because traffic was at a standstill on the interstate. Tailgaters were already setting up at LSU and more on the road in motorhomes headed for the big game. Today we have to go back to Baton Rouge, but not around the LSU area. We will be going back to our old neighborhood to vote. It's local election day. We also have some state-wide offices on the ballet such as congress and senate seats. We will also be re-electing or electing a new governor. After that chore is done, we will be heading home. I will be ready for the LSU football game. I have to get some fun football food together. Right now the only thing I am for certain doing is some BQ meatballs. Other possibilities are tacos, nachos, deviled eggs. We will see what everyone is in the mood for later today. Do you have anything big going on in your city today?
