The smell of cardamom......

I am loving it. For a change today I have added cardamom to my tea instead of ginger. We have no sugar in tea and husband feels that with cardamom tea you need a bit of sugar to add to the taste else it is not good. That made us have it very rarely as we do not have sugar.
But today I tried it without sugar and I am loving it. The house too smells good and even my elder daughter mentioned it
Now I am going to share it with my husband when he calls. We can have this tea more frequently.

My mom does the same. She feels that adding anything interferes with the real flavor of the tea.

Do you like the aroma of cardamom?? The small green ones. We don't use the big black ones. They are too strong and are added to spicy dishes.

@JudyEv Yes. In India people use small cardamom, the green ones as mouth freshner too. It has a refreshing smell.

This is a quite common spice in Indian kitchen and used in many recipes. We have a big and black one which is very strong. We use small green ones for tea.
