Do you have a reading goal this year for books?

I am doing the Goodreads reading challenge again this year.
Last year my goal was 50 books and I think ended up reading 52.
My goal this year is 55 books.
I am currently at 22 books and on my 23rd one.
There are still a lot of books to read to reach that goal.
I am not sure if I will reach my goal unless I get books that are smaller in page count, or I do nothing all day but read, which I doubt will happen.

I started the year with a goal but then got out of reading. I don't actually have a goal now, nor am I keeping up with what I am reading. I would like to read a lot during the Fall and Winter but I am not putting a number to it.

I am doing the Goodreads reading challenge so it tracks the book count for me. Thing is I have to first select the book as Reading and then change that to Read. If I just go to a book and select Read right away it won't count toward that number.

@ScribbledAdNauseum When I start reading a book I add it to my "reading" list and then when I finish reading I change status to "read". Not a big deal. Doesn't take long to do.

Since I've been spending more time on MyLot, I haven't been reading. I used to be a voracious reader. I have a bookcase full of books.

@Marty1 Reading is a large part of what I do for a living, I couldn’t really be an author if I didn’t read. Maybe you could try Audibooks when your busy with other stuff?

I definitely do not read as much as I used to. But hey, at least I read. My hubby doesn't read books at all, except maybe stuff online.
I think once you get into reading you will not want to stop.

@lovebuglena Yes, reading is a wonderful thing. I just wrote about how my son doesn't want to read at all.

I have never done a reading challenge. That might be a good thing for me. I would actually have to keep track. In fact, I believe you have inspired me to go to the library today.

If you join Goodreads it's easy to keep track of how many books you have read because it keeps track for you when you join the reading challenge. The thing is that you have to first add the book to the "Reading" list and then change that to "Read" in order for it to count that as a read book. If you put it in the "Read" list right away it won't. Happened to me.
