I do know and have read, that subconscious mind is responsible for our night dreams. We have no control in that, and there can be nightmares Well, day dreaming is something like dreaming with open eyes and deciding what to dream about. My choice will be a night dreaming, since it gives us actual feeling of dreaming...plus it's a kind of surprise, good or bad Which one is better and which one do you prefer?

My daughter has a beautiful quotation written in her calligraphic handwriting in her room.."Do not forget to sit and dream".Whenever I see that it makes me feel happy. I make sure that I sit and dream what I want to dream about. But then I should know where to stop it and come back to realize it.

@Aansh13 Yes. One has to be back and trying to fulfill that dream. I also feel that few dreams just help us escape from the reality for a while. Though escaping is not good but at times it does help.

To me, I would not compare these two types of dreaming. They both serve their own individualised purpose. To me, neither is better than the other then. Dreams connect us to our greater self, or to our soul, and we can do this (connect to our higher self) at any time, day or night, in many different ways, be they dreams, meditation, or journal writing. The dream is just a vehicle, or means of operative stancing, to allow this to take place.

I like both, though I should spend less time daydreaming haha, I also like night dreaming when I'm able to remember the dream when i wake up
