Oh my; I hope she hasn't been affected @just4him . Yeah, my great-grandson just turned 1 month old and to know that stuff is in the infant formula ticks me off and the government doesn't have any rules???? Are you kidding me?!!!!!!!

@nanette64 I know that my mother never bought ready made food for my brother and I, she cooked our food. My grandmother did not even buy ready made food for her cats and dogs. We should be more responsible.

@LadyDuck That's how I was raised too. We even had goats for our milk supply.

tried 'xplainin' this to my youngest, fell'n deaf ears. i bought 'em a vitamix when they married, so's they could make their own baby foods. they've ne'er done such. 'tis horrific the f.d.a. 'tis not takin' care 'f business. makes ya wonder how many pockets these so-called 'food producers' 're actually'n?

@nanette64 yes ma'am, should'a got bought 'em'n ordinary cheap blender 'nstead. sadly most farm raised foods fer commercial 're laden with all sorts 'f garbage. from pesticides to weed killers. not 'nough folks seem to mind though, nor realize such cannot be washed off, no matter how hard ya try.
i find 't quite shockin' what's bein' 'llowed to be labeled 's "organic" - from beef to chicken to fruits'n veggies.

Well dang; that was a waste of your money @crazyhorseladycx . I guess parents would rather spend thousands on medical bills instead of common sense. I've tried explaining to people to that apples that are shiny are that way because they are sprayed with wax. Your body cannot digest wax for crying out loud. Just like tomatoes that aren't grown naturally don't even taste like a tomato is suppose to. Or that eggs that have a yellow yolk; that hen was full of antibiotics, steroids and hormones. A REAL egg yolk should be an orange color. I told my granddaughter who just gave birth a month ago to use REAL cows milk or goats milk.
