Big skull for Halloween

My wife bought a big skull that she thought was a mask. But the bottom is not open, obviously it is only for display. Not a hard plastic so I'm thinking of removing the bottom so I can put it on my head. What do you think, real scary to the kids?

A lot of kids like and want scary this time of the year. It might be heavy on your head but you can try it too for yourself.
