National Bologna Day
National Crazy Day (a day to act crazy and have fun)
1861 - The first transcontinental telegraph line across the United States was completed.
1901 - Annie Edson Taylor becomes the first person to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel.
2017 - Fats Domino passed away. He was born in 1928 and was an American pianist, singer and songwriter. He was a pioneer of rock and roll music and sold more than 65 million records. From 1955-1960 he had 11 Top 10 hits. His two most recognized songs are "Ain't That a Shame" and "Blueberry Hill" (see below).
