Nature punished me

We had three yielding guava trees. The yield was plenty. We picked and chose what we wanted to eat and discarded the rest. Even our maids did that. Those trees are no more. They died one by one and now no matter how many I plant they just do not yield. I love guavas and I buy them but what I buy is nothing compared to what we had in our garden. I really feel nature has punished us as we did not respect what was growing in our garden. Has such a thing happened to you?

That is terrible. Mysterious how the trees would die one after another. Maybe a parasite?

@allknowing They may require some time to take root and gain the strength to produce. A few years possibly.

@allknowing 'They' do say that - 'they' also say that if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you always got. Maybe try something a little different. Plant in a different place, or try growing in a big pot with fresh soil perhaps? Try a different variety?

Really? it must have something in the soil that killed them? I think Guava trees are such a resilient tree and it does not easily die/wither.

@allknowing That is really weird if that plant is the only that has some kind of disease and all other are doing well.

That is too bad that you lost your guava trees. They don;t grow here but occasionally they appear in some grocery stores.

That's too sad. Yes, I have a similar experience. We had mango trees in our native, but we cut them for some reason. Once we had a plenty of tasty Mangoes in our house, now we are buying the same for high cost and with no taste.

@allknowing I was meaning @jstory07 really. Mice are well known to dig up and eat seeds of crops like peas, I thought they could be eating the corn too.

I am so sorry, I do not understand the reason why your trees do not produce fruits anymore.

@LadyDuck Considering guava trees do not need any special attention I wonder why they are not yielding. But I have not given up

@allknowing This is weird, but my neighbor two years ago cut his cherry tree because it did not bear fruits anymore.

Guavas do not need any fuss but strange that they are behaving this way.

@allknowing It could be a change in the soil I know it might have something to do with the ph levels. I am sure with your tender loving care you will overcome this somehow.

That is sad. I have a strong feeling that plants sense our energy and intentions. We had a similar experience with guava trees and a lemon trees in our backyard in native house. My grandma and mom took good care of these trees. There was enough yield and even helps and neighbors had the yield. But when my aunt started living there after my grandma and mom, the trees dried up in few months despite of good care. She refused to share the yield and even fenced them with thorny wires. No help or neighbors could come and ask for it or pluck fruits after asking.

I believe what you say We just did not value those fruits when we had bumper crops. We have every other fruit growing except guavas. I have not given up.
