Did you know that people are entitled to their own opinion?
AND
Even if that opinion is rubbish and beyond stupid, that you don't have to tell them that you think it's rubbish and stupid?
AND
That furthermore, by telling them these things, especially while using colorful language, only makes you look stupid?
Well, if you didn't then now you do.
Seriously, it's amazing that I see people attacking each other in the comments on facebook or other places (including here sometimes) and yet I'm thinking "Yeah, that person's opinion is pretty dumb, but so is everyone else for getting in a tizzy over it."
Newsflash people, you aren't going to change a person's opinion by calling them dumb, stupid, or cursing at them.
*shakes head and walks away*

@dya80dya I know you have such a hard time with finding sites to use. I really hope that other site will pay you, but I would not waste my time on it if they are paying less and less for the same amount of work.
My online stuff is going well, though I could do more to make a little more.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am trying to earn online as much as I can. My earnings today were not very good. Yesterday I earned more. I am worried because a site that I was using has some problems. I am thinking to give up on that site. Now they pay less for the same work. I could complete some surveys yesterday. I will have another payment soon. And you? Did you have a good time with your earnings?

@ScribbledAdNauseum I do not belong to that category that assumes things. There certainly could be situations that opinions could affect others.

That is the problem lately, people seem to think that other's opinions affect them, even when they do not. I wrote a comment on facebook today that ended up with a man insulting me. My comment was in response to another person and had nothing to do with him, but he felt personally attacked and wanted to convince me that he wasn't actually feeling personally attacked. I simply left the conversation.

@allknowing Oh yes, there are some situations where an opinion of another can impact or affect another person. I just see that happening more in the real world and not on the internet. Of course, I know that there are even some cases where the opinion of another person online has caused an impact in the real world.

I have to laugh sometimes. I don't often comment on things like this, but I actually commented just a few minutes to people and said 'What this person said was their own opinion. Your not going to change it, no matter how rubbish you think it is."
I am waiting to see if i get attacked now too.

Very good Amber you said it perfectly.
And here if we really can't stand someone's words or just them period, just freaking delete it. we have that option. Better than arguing and trying to change someone which is useless. Just my thoughts on that.

It is very useless and a waste of time and energy. We all have differing opinions, and we are all entitled to them. Whether they are right or wrong.
It just seems that with the anonymity of online, people are more and more likely to attack others.
I was attacked a little while ago on facebook and the guy said something about me "hiding behind a generic photo." I told him to take a closer look if he thought my photos were generic

I made this discussion because of a post on facebook.
I commented on the post and told the people there was no use in attacking the person with the negative comment, that they weren't going to change their opinion. Of course, I was then attacked. People are so naive and silly now.

I like facebook because I am in groups about soapmaking, history, and reading. It's the history ones that get the most argumentative people in it. I wrote this discussion after coming across a woman who called a man's picture "yuck" and "chubby".
She later tried to explain that the "yuck" was her own opinion,but people had already gotten into a fit over it.

Believe me I would love to get into a debate about some of the ridiculous things posted on FB..but as you said, you are not going to change anyone,s mind and it will just cause stress which I don,t need. So I just keep my mouth shut. I talk to those who share my opinion and attitudes. It,s just easier that way. Some people just can not be respectful.

I feel the same! I may not agree with someone's opinion and I may share why but they are allowed to think what they want and there is no need for me to be insulting or disrespectful. Live and let live!
